Clay Pan and Cover Tile

Pictured above is a new Ludowici 14-1/4" Straight Barrel Mission tile with a weathered surface texture installed by Renaissance Roofing, Inc. at Rockland Psychiatric Center located in Orangeburg, NY. The original roofing system was failing and replaced in 2006.

Pan and cover tiles, also referred to as "Mission" or "Barrel" tiles are two-piece tiles which pan tiles are installed flat and facing upward and the cover tile is installed face down towards the roof. Pan and cover tiles are synonymous with a Mediterranean style of appearance and are very common thought out the United States and tropical climates worldwide. These tiles are available in various profiles, sizes, colors and surface textures.
